Gluten Free Cerise (Red) Crab Biscuit
Ingredients:
344 g QM Gluten Free Pancake Mix
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp baking soda
147 g milk
1/3 cup cold salted butter
134 g shredded cheddar cheese
For Topping: ¼ cup salted butter, 1 tsp dried parsley, ½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp Italian seasoning.
Preheat oven to 400F
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix together the Pancake Mix, baking powder, sugar, baking soda and garlic powder.
Add cold butter to dry mixture and cut with fork or pastry cutter until crumbly.
Stir in milk. Add shredded cheddar cheese and mix to incorporate.
Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls (70 g) onto the parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
While biscuits are baking, gather topping ingredients. Melt butter and add seasonings.
Once biscuits are done baking, remove from oven. Let stand for approximately 3 minutes, then brush with melted topping mixture.
Serve immediately while still warm.
